Consider microchipping your pet while they are sedated for surgery.  All of our local shelters are now scanning pets on intake.  Microchips can be purchased for $30.

Any of our wellness and vaccination services can be performed at the time of spay/neuter.  Since the vet exam is included in the price of the surgery, consider performing your heartworm testing at this time.  It will save you on a vet exam fee later!
We recommend an E Collar for all dogs to prevent licking.  You can purchase one at a pet store or at the clinic for $15.  If you purchase one at the pet store, please make sure it is at least 1 inch longer than the dog's nose.

All pets must be current on their rabies shots at the time of surgery.  You must bring in the rabies CERTIFICATE at CHECK IN or Spay/Houston will vaccinate your pet at the time of surgery.

Spay/Houston does not perform preoperative blood work the day of surgery.  Should you wish to have blood work performed on your pet, please walk in on a Saturday during wellness hours.

*Due to the high risk of complications, Spay/Houston will not knowingly perform spay surgeries on term pregnant owned pets.  We cannot always tell the pregnancy status during the physical exam.
**If animals are rejected for surgery due to potential health issues, a $25 fee will be assessed.
